TAKING A LOOK AT ELTON
HILL

Elton Hill started his career in Plainville Stadium's Novice Division in 1960,
moving up to Plainville's Modifieds in 1962, winning several features in 62 &
63. 1964 saw Elton become a regular at Riverside Park Speedway taking down 1
feature at the Park in his only year of competition at "The Park". 1965 saw
Elton become one of Eddie Flemke's protégés traveling around the New York
tracks with Elton driving the Daryl McClullin 74x, besides winning races, the
mid to late 60's found Elton finishing among the point leaders for several years
at tracks such as Utica Rome Speedway, Albany Saratoga Speedway, Plattsburg,
N.Y. and Islip Speedway. The 70's found Elton returning to Plainville Stadium,
because of employment concerns, behind the wheel of the Farone's #43's.
Elton is now enjoying retirement from his long time employment with the major
Connecticut Electric Utilities Company and spending his summers on his boat in
Mystic, Ct.
