Steve "S J" Evonsion found most of his success at Riverside Park Speedway. Winning his first race in 1968 S.J. would end up with 13 career wins at the "Park", the last coming in 1987. He also garnered the 1972 Riverside Modified Championship.  Through the late 80's and 90's S.J. competed on the Featherlite Modified Tour. Although never a winner on the Tour, S.J. pulled down many top finishes in "low buck" equipment.
