Johnny Lobo after a 1969 victory in a Preliminary Race at the Eastern States
Exposition in the Walt Kuryan 00. This was the only time John drove the car
which is most associated with Tony "Jap" Membrino, and was the car driven to
victory in a 100 lap race at Plainville Stadium by Sparky Belmont, who later
that evening, passed away of a heart
attack suffered in the Plainville Stadium parking area while celebrating the
victory.
